Climate Kahani is a digital communication and awareness platform that aims to demystify climate change for a broad audience across Pakistan.
An initiative of Jawad Sharif Films, Climate Kahani addresses the urgent issue of conflict driven by climate change through visual storytelling, particularly climate migration, with challenges such as water scarcity, food insecurity, and loss of arable land and livelihood threatening local communities. The campaign aims not only to increase public awareness about conflicts driven by climate change and climate migration but also to influence policymaking in the long term.

Natari

Natari, literally anchor of the boat in the Sindhi language, tells the story of the potential conflict caused by climate migration and its impact on local communities and families such as that of fisherman and political activist Ayoub Sehto in the Indus Delta region.

FILMS

Climate Kahani does not just deliver awareness through multimedia social media posts but also the medium of film. If you believe that you have a compelling story to tell with a climate theme, we are waiting to listen to your ideas.

The Color Of Smog

Sixteen artist take on the task of expressing the impact of climate change in general and smoke in particular through their art work, which will be exhibited in the Smog Show. The exhibition will be curated by Irfan Gul Dahri.

Imagine a Pakistan where every citizen is delivered climate justice. Where no one has to be homeless due to rising sea levels. Where energy is as clean as a mountain stream. Where everyone lives with food security and dignity. Where everyone is aware of the gravity of the adverse impact of climate change.

We can’t build this future alone, but we can build it together. Let’s dream together, plan together, and act together. Climate Kahani is a not-for-profit awareness campaign and is accepting donations and collaborations from both institutional and individual donors. For learning how to donate and to discuss possible collaborations:
